The NWT Human Rights Commission participated in the Fort Smith Trade show on May 1, 2010, the Yellowknife Spring Trade Show on May 8-9, 2010 and the Inuvik Petroleum show on June 23-24, 2010. During these events, staff from the Commission provided general information to the public about the NWT Human Rights Act.
Visit to Deline and Tulita
The NWT Human Rights Commission visited Deline and Tulita on March 30 and 31, 2010. Presentations were made to schools and community organizations about the NWT Human Rights Act and how it applies to employment, tenancy, and public services.
Canadian Museum for Human Rights Consultations
The NWT Human Rights Commission participated in the public consultations hosted by the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Yellowknife on October 29-30, 2009. The Museum invited public input to help shape the Museum’s permanent exhibitions and public programs. The Commission participated in the consultations and provided a written submission.
