Lancaster Audio Conferences – Winter 2012 (FREE events)

  • March 14, 2012 – 10:00 a.m. to 12:oo noon: “Urine or You’re Out”.   This audio conference explores the changing law on random drug testing and the alternatives.  It will address some of the controversies involved in workplace drug testing, including how drug tests work, and the “balancing” and “risk” approaches to drug testing.

“Human Rights at Work” – Employer Workshop 

This full day workshop will introduce employers, managers and supervisors to the NWT Human Rights Act and  how it applies to the workplace.  Topics include:  the duty to accommodate & workplace harassment.    This workshop will be delivered in 3 locations:

  • February 28, 2012 – Fort Smith.   Aurora College – Room 148. 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Cost: $50.00 (includes materials & lunch)
  • March 12, 2012 – Inuvik.  Inuvik Centennial Library.  9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Cost:  Free
  • March 29, 2012 – Yellowknife.   Northwest Tower (Northwestel), 6th Floor Boardroom.  9:00 a.m. to 4:30  p.m.  Cost:  $50.00 (includes materials & lunch)
