The NWT Human Rights Commission is pleased to announce the Łutsël K’é Co-operative as the winner of the 2026 Accessibility Award. The Coop has automatic doors, a wheelchair ramp and will have an accessible parking spot next to it once the parking lot is completed. Inside, the store has consciously lowered the height of products to ensure easier access for all patrons. These features benefit people with disabilities, but also parents, seniors, and young people. We offer our sincere congratulations to the Łutsël K’é Co-operative and urge other construction projects across the Territory to follow their lead.
